Sopore boy Naveed Ahsan Bhat qualifies UPSC CSE 2021, makes it to Reserve list

 Naveed Ahsan Bhat is a 24-year-old from Noorbagh area of Sopore, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir and has qualified the prestigious examination UPSC CSE. Naveed Completed his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from NIT Srinagar. Naveed has made it to the Reserve list of UPSC CSE Batch 2021.


Naveed completed his Graduation from National Institute of Technology, Srinagar in 2019 and right after that started preparation for UPSC CSE Examination.

Naveed did his UPSC CSE Coaching from Jamia Hamdard in 2020. Jamia Hamdard has its own coaching academy named Residential Coaching Academy that is located inside the campus.

“The academy provides free coaching to Civil Services exam aspirants. This facility is exclusively open for candidates hailing from minority, Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe category. Women candidates are also eligible to avail this opportunity for the preparation of the coved recruitment exam. As a part of the university’s commitment to nation-building the students are provided free accommodation, library facility, classroom teaching, practice sets, study materials, 24×7 library facility and Wi-Fi,”.

The result of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2021 was declared on 30.05.2022 recommending 685 candidates in order of merit for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ against 749 vacancies.

As sought by the Department of Personnel & Training, the Commission has now recommended 63 candidates which include 46 General, 12 OBC, 04 EWS and 01 SC, to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2021.
